After a year, I returned to ETS 2 with the Western Balkans DLC. I play the game with an Xbox One controller. It has always worked perfectly for me. But I found that the functions that were assigned to holding the buttons do not work for me. For example, holding X meant turning on the cruise control at the saved speed, I think holding Y was the handbrake etc. Why doesn't it work anymore?
The 1.46 contains large changes to the Steam Input layers and actions. Steam Input does not provide way to gracefully convert the configurations and the old configurations would not work properly so we had to mark all old configs as incompatible.
The Solution at this problem is not in the ETS2 or ATS game config. It is in the Steam controller setting. You can set the controller you want to use in the Steam controller settings. Be sure the XBox One controller is detected and set at the bottom of the controller setting page.
I really hope SCS and Steam fixed this on going issues for a long time with me! I'm using Xbox one controller and already made a perfect button feature on steam for ETS2. Works before and it had all the feature in the truck binded for that controller. Now because it is not working I don't likes Dev config of Controller as it is slightly harder then what I've made and got less binding of the
Make sure your game is not running! 1) Navigate to Documents > Euro Truck sim 2 > Profiles > [select your MP profile] 2) Delete the file "controls.sii". 3) Reload your game, go through the input wizard and set your controls up now. If that doesn't work, definitely reinstall it in another usb port.
i use my wireless redgear controller for pc i have been using it since the past years and its been working great on ETS 2 but few days ago i dont know what happened but the game i snot showing the gamepad in the settings. even when i input the wizard it does not show me the controller and instead tells me to go to controller support and change from there any idea on how to fix this. so i
