I am visiting jeep on Sunday to hopefully buy a patriot and was wondering how much people have haggled on the price? I ideally want the 2.2 CRD sport plus and the list price seems to be 18495. Does anyone know if deals are possible and if so what I should bring them down to? Many thanks for your answers in advance.

JEEP PATRIOT 2.2 CRD. I just bought a jeep patriot with Mercedes engine OM651 2.2. The engine is knocking very bad while accelerating. I don't know the service history of the car. I believe is the timing chain a tooth wrong or chain tensioner. OM651 chain is behind engine and must take out the engine to check. Indeed,timing problems.
