The JCB tractor, Fastrac was modified by Williams Advanced Engineering, This was to give it a lighter weight, and an aerodynamic stance so as to achieve this record speed. Fastrac built by JCBFastrac One and Fastrac Two are based on the commercially available JCB 8000-series Fastrac tractor which is sold in North America and is the worldโs fastest production tractor, with a top speed of 43 mph (69 km/h). Fastrac Two was developed after the Fastrac One record, with the project team aiming for a new top speed of 150 mph (241.402 km/h).
And itโs the only tractor to have launched a World record attempt. In 2006, a Fastrac 8250 capable of 65 mph got the high-geared JCB Dieselmax underway during the start-up procedure for its successful attempt on the diesel land speed record.
In 2009, we introduced a revolutionary chassis design which allows the super-compact 516-40 to achieve a height of just 1.8m. In 2014, the 560-80 became our highest capacity model, capable of lifting 6 tonnes. Today we are the world number one for telescopic handlers and all but our smallest models feature the record-breaking JCB DIESELMAX engine.
